Abstract:
In recent years, the search for better management of the fleet and the reduction of logistic costs has been pursued incessantly by the organizations. One of the alternatives found by Group X was to measure the idleness of its vehicles in order to optimize the use and generate more value for its assets. After perceiving that the vehicles destined to the operating areas were not used every day, it was decided to install RFID antennas in the entrances and exits of the main courtyards to measure the idleness of the fleet. There was an opportunity to reduce the fleet and better allocation of vehicles. But the model has some limitations and faced problems in execution. Although it is a powerful tool, it has not proved ideal for the management of the group’s fleet.

Abstract: The salinity in irrigation water is one of the most important causes to decline cultivated plants yield. The H2O2 application has shown efficiency as a stimulator and activator for antioxidative defense system in plants submitted to biotic and abiotic stresses. The objective of this study was to evaluate methods for hydrogen peroxide application as a strategy to minimize the effects of saline stress on melon plants. The experiment was designed in complete randomized blocks and set in 2 × 4 factorial scheme, consisting two levels for irrigation water salinity (S1 = 0.3 and S2 = 2.0 dS m-1) and four methods for hydrogen peroxide application (15 mM), (T1 = no peroxide application, T2= imbibition of seeds, T3 = at sowing, T4 = Foliar spraying), with five repetitions. It was evaluated the following variables at 58 days after transplanting: plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, number of flowers, shoot dry mass, root dry mass and total dry mass. The results showed that salinity affected the growth, biomass accumulation and plant quality severely, with the highest losses promoted by the electrical conductivity of 2.0 dS m-1

Abstract: Lettuce is a crop originating from temperate climate, and for this reason, when cultivated in semiarid region, characterized by high luminosity and temperature, major losses in productivity and quality occur. The objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of different levels of shade on yield and quality of lettuce cultivars in semiarid conditions. The experiment was conducted under field conditions at the Human and Agricultural Sciences Center at State University of Paraiba, Brazil, in randomized blocks with parcels divided into 4 × 4 factorial space, and four repetitions. The parcels received different shading levels (0, 30, 50 and 70%) with black polypropylene screen and sub parcels by lettuce cultivars: ‘Americana Irene’, ‘White Boston’, ‘Regina de Ver?o’ and ‘Green Salad Bowl’. The shading promoted higher performance in height, stem diameter, root length, pH and dry mass of lettuce plants when compared to those grown in the open-air, being the shading of 70% the more efficient. The ‘Americana Irene’ cultivar was distinguished in terms of plant height, foliage area, leaves dry mass and soluble solids, independently from the cultivation environment. With the shading, this cultivar improved the aerial shoot-root ratio and root dry mass

Abstract: surgical replacement of the aortic valve is the therapy of choice for patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis. however, surgical risk increases significantly with age and with the association of comorbidities. in this clinical context, transcatheter aortic-valve implantation must be considered as a valid and effective therapeutic alternative. the purpose of this consensus is to provide a critical review of all the evidence and recent advances related to transcatheter aortic-valve implantation and summarize the current state of the art, in order to better guide therapeutic decision-making. patient selection for transcatheter aortic-valve implantation must meet the following criteria: 1) presence of severe symptomatic aortic valve stenosis, defined as aortic valve orifice area < 1 cm2 (or < 0.6 cm2/m2); 2) age > 75 years and a high probability of surgical morbidity and mortality due to pre-existing comorbidities; and 3) the presence of anatomical and morphological conditions favorable for transcatheter interventions. current scientific evidence indicates that this procedure improves symptoms and reduces mortality in patients with aortic stenosis who were not suitable candidates for surgery, as compared to standard therapy. additionally, in patients with severe aortic stenosis and high surgical risk, transcatheter aortic-valve implantation is an alternative effective treatment, able to alter the natural course of disease in a manner equivalent to conventional surgical treatment.

Abstract: this report aimed to investigate the chemical composition and possible antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory effects of the essential oil from fresh leaves of myrcia pubiflora dc., myrtaceae (eomp), through different experimental tests. the essential oil of m. pubiflora (eomp) was obtained by hydrodistillation, analyzed by gc-ms, and tested at doses of 25, 50, and 100 mg/kg (i.p.) in three different tests of nociception (acetic acid-induced writhing test, formalin test, and hot plate test) and one test of inflammation (leukocyte migration to the peritoneal cavity) in order to evaluate the motor activity in mice treated with eomp. the major component of eomp was caryophyllene oxide (22.16%). this oil significantly reduced the number of writhes in an acetic acid test and the time spent licking the paw at the second phase of the formalin test. furthermore, eomp inhibited the carrageenan-induced leukocyte migration to the peritoneal cavity. however, administration of eomp did not alter reaction time in the hot plate test, and did not affect the motor coordination test. these results indicate antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory properties of eomp probably mediated via inhibition of inflammatory mediator synthesis or other peripheral pathway.

Abstract: O gergelim (Sesamum indicum L .) = - The sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) is one of the rst species domesticated by humans, being nowadays one of the top ten oil plant in the world.
